THQ Loses Millions, is it the end?

Publisher THQ looses $191.8 Million over the holiday season witch means many of the developers and regular employees are out of the job, poor guys..

THQ plans to layoff as many as 600 employees total in the in-game development departments, mobile divisions, and studio departments witch is about 24% if its workforce, witch is a part of their plan to cut cost by $220 Million near 2010, also they plan to cut sales, cut projects for new up comming games, cut out a good precentage of the marketing and other "Important Business Departments" witch in my eyes looks like their running dry and going out of business.

Who cuts sales, marketing etc while theres a reccession going on??? dumb move, in order to stay aflot you need to make sales witch means keeping the highly skilled employees and marketing staff in order to produce the hell out of their games and still float as a business.

"This is one of the most challenging holiday retail environments I have experienced in my 18 years at THQ," said CEO Brian Farrell during a conference call, lamenting a tough retail situation. Farrell reminded analysts of the industry's growth in 2008, noting "clearly, we did not participate in that growth"

Good bye Smackdown!! Good Bye Saints row!!, Good Bye all other games that I dident care for or play!! just another example of dumb moves made by the CEO's of todays time.. Of course they wont tell you everything as of yet about what really happend at THQ, But after their Backruptcey we will know for sure.. have a good one.
